Netball Ireland’s Youth Development Squad is aimed at providing monthly development clinics for young players looking to progress their netball pathway to the U17, U19, U21 and Open (Squad) for Ireland.
The team comprises of Head Coach Janet O’Brien, assistant coach Katie Smyth and team manager Cheryl Dreyer.
Janet has completed her Level 2 Coaching Award and comes with a wealth of experience, having coached and played in the UK for many year. Janet is supported by Katie, who completed her Level 1 Coaching Award and played for Ireland in the U17, U19 and U21 squads, and Cheryl who has been involved with Netball both in South Africa and Ireland.
The clinics are fun and interactive and are run once a month at Wesley College in Dublin, usually on a Sunday from 2pm-5pm.
All players from 12-16 are welcome to join and all skill levels are welcome.
We also aim to arrange competitive tournaments throughout the year from local and international teams.
